GTM Manager

NYC based to run monthly events, Open to Remote

About The Role

As GTM Manager at Extraordinary, you’ll build our presence in New York’s startup and VC community. You’ll host events that bring together founders, investors, and builders, to turn those relationships into clients and referral partners, and close deals with talent and companies pursuing O-1, EB-1, E-2, and other visa pathways.

This is a build-from-scratch role. We have the product, the legal team, and reputation to support our growth. You’ll own the East Coast pipeline from first conversation to signed engagement, partner with leadership on larger company deals, and help make Extraordinary the default immigration partner for New York’s most ambitious founders and talent.

This is a fully remote, full-time role and we offer competitive compensation based on background/experience.

What You'll Do

Events & Community

  • Plan and host regular events in NYC, including founder dinners, VC co-hosted panels, immigration office hours, and AI/startup community nights
  • Own events end to end: venue, guest list, programming, run-of-show, and follow-up
  • Co-host recurring events with NYC VC firms, accelerators, and founder communities

Sales & Closing

  • Own the full sales cycle for East Coast leads, from first conversation to signed engagement
  • Build and run a clear, repeatable follow-up system that turns event leads into a qualified pipeline
  • Source and help close partnerships with high-growth NYC startups alongside leadership

Pipeline & Process

  • Break revenue goals into a clear funnel (events → attendees → consultations → closes) and track performance
  • Use AI tools and automations for guest research, outreach, and follow-up so your time goes to the conversations that matter

What We're Looking For

  • 3–5 years in sales, partnerships, or community/events at a startup or high-growth company
  • Track record of closing deals and carrying a number
  • Experience running in-person events and filling rooms with the right people
  • Existing relationships in the NYC startup and VC community
  • Confident and polished with founders and VC partners, and hungry enough to do the outreach yourself
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, comfortable working a funnel in a spreadsheet or CRM
  • Comfortable using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT/Claude, Clay, outreach automation) as part of your daily workflow
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

Bonus Points

  • Familiarity with O-1, EB-1, E-2, or other U.S. visa pathways
  • Immigration, legal services, or legal tech experience
  • Experience selling to founders, VCs, or startup People/HR teams
  • An existing following or community in the NYC startup scene

Compensation

  • Competitive base salary + commission with remote flexibility
  • Opportunity for growth within a fast-growing company
